As homeschoolers, reading is pretty much an essential part of our day but it’s also just a fun way to spend time as a family. So when November comes around, we like to focus our story times around the holiday’s with special holiday books. We’ve got a pretty wide range of readers in my house, so the way we do this is that we pick one or two chapter books the whole family will love that we will read together as well as some books for the little ones that my oldest will be able to read to them.
Each year we try to add new books to our reading list, but inevitably, we find ourselves flocking back to the classics and reading those time and time again. It’s so much fun being able to share classic stories that I loved growing up with my kids now and I hope they continue the tradition with their kids in the future.
