So let’s get started on budget friendly Valentine’s date night ideas!

1- Pizza at home

I don’t mean ordering a pizza from domino’s, I mean making one! Go to the store and pick up the ingredients to make your favorite pizza at home. Most grocery stores have pre-made pizza dough, so grab that, some yummy cheeses, and good toppings. Then head home and whip up some delicious pizzas for you and your partner. If you want to be a little extra, you can even turn them into heart shaped pizzas.

2- Steak night

This is another at home dinner idea. I love to make steaks at home. They just turn out so much better. Plus, you can get 2 steaks for the price of one that you would buy at that over crowded chain restaurant down the street. Turn it into a three course meal. Have a beautiful homemade salad or appetizer, your steak with some roasted purple potatoes and carrots and asparagus, and finish it off with chocolate cake and coffee. Yum!

3. Movie and popcorn

Head to the store and pick up a bunch of delicious snacks and drinks. Once you’re both home, throw on Netflix or Amazon Prime and find a good sappy Rom-Com to watch with your love.

4. Evening Picnic

This may not work as an outdoor choice for everyone but you can always put together a cute romantic indoor picnic no matter where you’re at. Throw down a nice blanket, set out a cute basket filled with champagne, strawberries, chocolates, cheeses and cured meats, crackers, grapes… you know… finger foods that you can feed each other. Dim the lights, start a fire in the fire place or throw on one of those cheesy fake fire screensavers on the TV and soft music. Let the night take you where it will.

5. Bowling

Hey, some people really enjoy bowling plus it can be an unexpected and fun way to spend your evening.

6. Game Night

This is one the whole family can enjoy. Pick up some snacks and yummy treats, drinks, and have a night of monopoly or apples to apples. You can even throw in some karaoke for some added fun.

7. Chinese food and Netflix

I think this is one of my favorite date night ideas. Order your favorite Chinese food and cuddle up on the sofa for a night of binge watching your favorite shows.

8. Smore’s and the great outdoors

This one requires the use of a fire pit… outside… please don’t do this inside. There’s just something so relaxing and romantic about sitting around a fire all bundled up in your comfy sweater. Grab some champagne or wine and light a big fire in your fire pit then sit around and make smore’s and talk.

9. Batting cage

If you’re more of a sporty couple or enjoy good competition, head over to your local batting cage. Get a big pitcher of beer, some hot dogs and fries, and see who’s got the better swing.

10. Massage night

A good massage from your spouse can be pretty enjoyable. Buy some delicious smelling oils and head to the bedroom after the kids go to bed for a relaxing back rub or foot rub. Then switch it up and treat your spouse.
